By accessing or using our website and software services (“Services”), you agree to comply with these Terms of Use.

1. About TreeTools.ai

TreeTools.ai is a New Zealand-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform providing forestry analytics and AI tools such as Virtual Plot, LiDAR Online, and related digital assessment solutions.

2. Eligibility

To use TreeTools.ai, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, or have legal authority to contract on behalf of an organisation.

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information.

  • Comply with all applicable laws in New Zealand and your jurisdiction.

3. Use of Service

You agree to use TreeTools.ai only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not:

  • Copy, modify, or reverse-engineer our software.

  • Share your account credentials with others.

  • Upload or distribute harmful, offensive, or infringing content.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if misuse is detected.

4. Subscription, Payment, and Refunds

TreeTools.ai operates on a subscription basis.

  • Subscription fees are displayed at checkout and are billed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).

  • Payment is processed securely via Stripe.

  • All fees are non-refundable unless required under New Zealand consumer law.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing period.

5. Data Ownership and Privacy

You retain ownership of all data you upload to TreeTools.ai.
By using our Service, you grant us a limited right to process that data for providing our analytics functions.

We handle all personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, software, and materials on TreeTools.ai are owned by or licensed to us.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, or use them except as permitted in writing.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
We may suspend or modify the Service for maintenance, updates, or improvements.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (including data loss or loss of profit).

  • Our total liability is limited to the total fees paid by you in the previous 12 months.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ).

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms.
You may also terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
